Howto: Open a .pages File in Windows

Being a mac user, one of my most used applications is the 'iWork' suite of productivity applications. It includes the pages, keynote, and numbers applications. While these applications do offer a certain amount of compatibility with Microsoft Office, they aren't exactly what you'd call cross-compatible, and extra steps must be taken to export your mac files if they need to be opened in office. Recently, I needed to open a .pages file in windows, so I began researching a way to do it. Here are the basic steps:
1. download and install
Win Rar.
2. using winRar, open yoru .pages file.
3. Inside the archive, navigate to the 'quick look' folder.
4. extract and open 'preview.pdf'

Some notes:
obviously, this being a .pdf file, you need a pdf reader (adobe reader or similar). If you wish to edit this file, you will also require a pdf editor. And, finally, in some cases this doesn't allow you to export all pages of the file, though in my case, it worked brilliantly!
